A disappointing result should never lead to abuse |
||
|
We may not have got the football result we wanted yesterday, but disappointment is never an excuse for domestic abuse. Whether you're continuing to follow the rest of the tournament or switching off football altogether, everyone has the right to feel safe at home, regardless of the score. We know that major sporting events can sometimes be linked to an increase in domestic abuse. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, support is available. If you are concerned about domestic abuse happening to someone you know, or want to report information about an offender, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously. Or visit our Victims Hub to find out more about the help and support available. And if you're heading out to watch any of the remaining games this weekend, take a look at our Getting You Home Safe campaign page for practical advice on enjoying a safe night out.
